Every day, airports and train stations see more genuine acts of love than any church or wedding hall. Or so I thought, so everyone thought. However, after weeks documenting the subject of ‘The Kiss’, it became apparent that public displays of affection are hard to come by, even at airports and stations. It was due to this, I renamed my project ‘The Absence of Affection’ and began to document how rarely people show affection in public.
